Open-air screening
Curator: Lucas Charrier
As part of its Kino Carte blanche, the Let Us Reflect Film Festival holds an open-air screening in the garden in front of the Centre d’art contemporain Chapelle Saint-Jacques in Saint-Gaudens, with to films by Filipo artist Shireen Seno.
— Nervous Translation (1 h 30 min, 2018) tells the story of an eight-year-old girl who finds a pen that transcribes the thoughts and feelings of nervous people.
— Meanwhile, inside the Centre d'art, To Pick A Flower (17 min, 2021) will screen on a loop. Taking as a starting point the archival photograph of a bride posing alongside a plant, this video essay explores the intertwined roots and growth of photography and capitalism during the American Colonial Era in the Philippines (1898-1946).
This evening is also an occasion to discover Minuit Spécial, Eva Taulois' personal exhibition, visible throughout Le Printemps de septembre and until March 5, 2022.
In partnership with the Chapelle Saint-Jacques Centre d'art contemporain (Saint-Gaudens).
