FAME

During the festival, isdaT is transformed into an ephemeral screening room and hosts films in loop throughout the day. Four cartes blanches follow one another: an artist, two festivals and one curator share their current concerns or eternal obsessions. Each of these white cards extends outside the dark room with concerts, meetings or open-air screenings.

From the dancefloor to social issues, there is only one step that FAME, the music film festival at the Gaîté Lyrique born in 2014, takes with a programme that is always curious about the world around it. With many exclusive French and world films, FAME presents a largely new programme each year that gives pride of place to singular figures, sonic odysseys and marginal cultures.

On the occasion of Le Printemps de septembre, FAME proposes a singular journey that attempts to reach out to the plurality of worlds with a bang. Underground currents, subcultures, underground, culture of the margins... FAME explores the popular practices that are invented in secret before bursting into the open. Bringing together films that have marked the first seven editions, FAME invites us to a celebration of music and its powers. Let's Dance!
