Lonnie van Brummelen

Born in 1969 in Soest (the Netherlands).

The films presented by Lonnie van Brummelen deal with three sensitive crossing points in the European Union: Hrebenne, a border crossing between Ukraine and Poland; the Spanish enclave of Ceuta in Morocco; and the green zone that separates the island of Cyprus into two. In this work, the artist draws our attention to the limits of the European "great spaces" where internal borders are removed to reinforce external ones.
