Won
Like every year, the Soirées Nomades commission a young musician from Toulouse to create a project for the Printemps de Septembre. After Boris Billier last year, it is now the turn of Won, alias Sébastien Llinares, to propose a delicate and intimate sound performance in the form of an installation at the Jacobins cloister.
Born in 1978, Sébastien Llinares studied guitar and classical music at the conservatory, as well as art and musicology at the University of Mirail in Toulouse. Very active in the field of musical creation, he founded the ObliQ collective, a structure linked to the diffusion of contemporary sound practices, and the Nowaki label, which produces records, commissions and puts sound works online.
Won's music is composed from a sampled and reworked live guitar, to which rhythmic loops and electronic sounds are mixed. His universe is soft and dreamy, made of fragile ballads written like travel diaries. An electronica influenced by minimalism that appeals to the senses.
At each concert, he offers a different interpretation of his music. For the Printemps de Septembre festival, he transforms it into a sound installation in which he performs live.
