Born in 1969, he lives and works in Nagoya (Japan).

Shimabuku's videos, photographs and drawings are the tangible traces of his ephemeral, wandering works. Whether he is searching for a hypothetical deer or carrying a coffee house on his back, Shimabuku's main focus is on the relationship he can establish with people in the context of their public space, a relationship that derives its relevance from his attention to the characteristics and history of the place where he finds himself.

For the Printemps de Cahors he created an indoor installation that continues outside.
