Born in 1966, he lives and works in Marseille (France) and Paris.
Philippe Meste, known for having attacked in 1993 the aircraft carrier Foche in the Toulon harbour with a warship of his own making, often takes the posture of a terrorist in works where danger and risk are the driving forces behind a critique of the society of the spectacle.
A set of his Watercolours, pages from fashion magazines that have been turned into a "tribute to beauty", is presented in Cahors.
