Born in 1964, she lives and works in Belfort and Dijon (France).

Martine Locatelli photographs couples, parents with their children or even single women, in their domestic setting, but frozen in a posture that is often unnatural in the middle of a game of lighting that displaces reality towards a possible "disturbing strangeness".

In the black and white series Femmes seules presented in Cahors, a painting in which Barbie dolls reproduce stereotypical scenes of seduction shifts the tone of the photographed scenes towards a gentle irony.
