Laetitia Bénat, Indian Summer, 1997

vidéo couleur, son, 15'

collection Fonds national d'art contemporain, Paris

Born in 1971, she lives and works in Lyon (France).

Lætitia Bénat makes videos that initiate narratives without completing them, narratives that touch on adolescence perceived as a state of anxiety, tension and intense creativity. The bodies of young girls embody feelings that resemble violence.

For the Printemps de Cahors she presents her video Indian Summer (1997), in which a sudden tension breaks the calm of a familiar and intimate scene.
