Born in 1964, he lives and works in Arnhem (Netherlands).

 

Erik Wesselo makes films that often feature him in situations of physical confrontation with his environment, in a repetitive and even dangerous manner: riding a horse upside down, turned in harness to the blades of a windmill, or running without being able to move forward, held back by a means invisible to the image.

 

In Cahors he presents his film Luxembourg, whose astonishing fall contrasts with the apparent calm of the narrative.
