At first sight, the images of offices, halls and meeting rooms of companies or political institutions that appear in Benoit's work perfectly fulfil their documentary function. However, the author is less interested in reality than in the weight of the past or the future in the consciousness of a historical present. All human activity has disappeared. Time is suspended in an anodyne setting where history is constructed.
