Ange Leccia

Born in 1952 in Minerviu (Corsica),he lives and works in Paris and Corsica.

Ange Leccia creates installations or devices that use different media, objects linked to the image (projectors, televisions), to movement (cars, motorbikes, etc.), videos, photographic or cinematographic images. 

Here he presents a video entitled Rie (1996) in which the image of a woman's face dazzled by a succession of flashes is slowed down to the extreme. This piece questions the boundaries between still and moving images, as well as the notions of appearance and disappearance. He also presents a film made in collaboration with Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, created especially for the festival.
